DRUIDS

Druids were nymphs of trees, especially oaks (oaks). They lived in the trees and were protectors of the forests. Their presence brought life and magic to the forests. Druades had a close relationship with the goddess Artemis, the goddess of hunting and nature, and were often depicted dancing and singing among the trees, bringing prosperity to the forests.

Nereids

The Nereids were nymphs of the sea, daughters of Nereus, the god of the sea, and Doris. They lived in the depths of the seas and protected sailors, bringing peace and safety to the waves. They were known for their beauty and kindness, and were often depicted helping sailors in difficult situations. The most famous Nereids were Thetis, mother of Achilles, and Amphitrite, wife of Poseidon.

Oceanids

The Oceanides were nymphs of the oceans, daughters of Oceanus, the titan of the sea, and Tethys. They lived in the vast seas and rivers, tending the waters and bringing life and prosperity to the shores. They were over 3,000 in number and had a variety of attributes, such as Clymene, who was known for her wisdom, and Styx, who represented the river of promise and oath.

Naiads

The Naiads were nymphs of fresh waters, such as springs, rivers and lakes. They lived near water and protected the springs from which clean water flowed, giving life to people and animals. The Naiads had the power to control the flow of water and were known for their beauty. One of the most famous Naiads was Daphne, who was transformed into a tree to escape from Apollo.

Limnades

The Limnades were nymphs of the lakes. They lived in lakes and lagoons, protecting the peaceful waters and the life that existed in them. They were known for the peace and tranquility they brought to the waters, as well as their ability to heal the injured and sick with the magical waters of their lakes. The Linnaeus often appeared in myths as kind and protective figures who helped those in need.

Alseides

The Alseides were nymphs of the salt marshes and small forests. They lived in the picturesque groves and small wooded areas, bringing tranquility and beauty to nature. They were known for their care for the plants and animals of the alpine pastures and for their ability to bring prosperity and wealth to the land. The Alseys were often associated with rituals and festivals that honored nature and rebirth.

Oreades

The Oreades were nymphs of the mountains and caves. They lived in high mountains and hidden caves, bringing peace and protection to the wild landscapes. They were known for their endurance and strength, as well as their ability to adapt to the harsh mountain environments.
