Throughout my journey I have learnt about the different in’s and out's of software assisted animation and modelling, through the software Live2D Cubism. I have a deeper understanding on my own art and how different elements interact with each other, as well as a broader understanding on ‘tweening’. And gaining an understanding on media literacy as an ATL skill.
I have developed animation skills in terms of 'tweening' and working in a 2D space with 3D implemented physics, along with fortifying my understanding on self-management and research skills. I have gained an understanding on newer animation related software’s and developed a deeper understanding on their basics and use.
As a kid one of my main interests has always been focused on art or anything related to it, currently choosing to pursue it in the future and with the growing acceptance of digital software’s assisting in art or animation I took the liberty to choose this as the topic for my Personal Project to learn something new in the field. As I have been getting more into digital art or even newer forms of digital entertainment, I settled on a Live 2D model as it fits the criteria for requiring a fair amount of artwork in the form of assets and is a newer more ambitious program for me to work on as it is not immensely popular yet such as the likes of programs by Adobe.
During this I got the change to work on ATL skills such as my research skills as I could not seek outside help on this from lack of knowledge and relied on the internet to trouble shoot the problems I encountered during the way and how to use the software. I also used thinking skills in the form of Critical and creative thinking to apply what I had learnt and to try to solve problems/ figure out what was causing them. This included self-management skills such as organization and reflection to accurately assess my work and efficiently lay out what I need to do and has been done in order to move from step to step without any problems.
I used and learnt skills such as risk-taking, reflective and thinking skills as part of the IB learning profile to help me in my project and in life to grade and learn from my tome working on my project, helping me learn about things I never knew and skills I can apply everywhere.
