I learnt about fitness for a teenage boy, what type of diet should be consumed, how to maintain a certain healthy lifestyle. I learnt how I can track and analyze personal data for decision making for my lifestyle.
I developed a vlog demonstrating my fitness journey from June 2021 to November 2021. I was able to perform 80 squats, 80 crunches and 80 pushups along with an 8km run for one week daily. This helped me view and reflect on how I changed physically, mentally and fitness wise.
Fitness is one of the few activities in life that I can really enjoy and put my mind to. Understanding how my body works, how it changes and then seeing those changes work physically is just amazing. Fitness is an experience in which one can learn so much. I spent a lot of my time watching videos of other people working on their physical health. I always enjoyed watching it and as I came to try and live the lifestyle myself, I have come to love it.
This project was of great importance to me as it required me to push through my limits and reach new heights. Over the course of the project I built upon IB Learner Profile attributes such as Balanced, Reflective and Principled. I did this by making routines and keeping a diary. Through the same, I have also built upon one of the core values which is discipline. I built on the ATL skills of reflection and self-management. Self-management was a part of my everyday life with my routine - cooking, eating, sleeping and exercising.
