Experience represents your character growing in their knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience can be gained in the following ways:
At the end of every session you attend, you gain 1 experience point
At the end of every Chapter (usually 2-3 sessions), all active characters gain 3 experience points.
At the end of a Story (usually 3-4 Chapters), all characters gain 10 experience points
When your character completes a goal in their own personal Aspirations, you gain 2 experience points
You can spend experience points between sessions to improve your character. You do not have to spend your experience points; instead, you can save them for later use. You must declare your experience points spent at either the end of a session or the start of the next session. You cannot spend Experience in the middle of a session.
Ability Modifiers: Modifiers cost 10 points to increase by 1 point up to +5. For every modifier above +5, it costs double that modifier's value in Experience instead (so to reach +6 it takes 12 Experience, to reach +7 it takes 14 Experience, and so on).
Feats cost 3 points to unlock
Allegiance Ranks cost 2 points to purchase.
Skill Proficency Ranks cost 3 point to purchase. Skill Proficiency Ranks are gated relative to the overall experience your character has gained over their journeys:
At 30 overall Experience, you may purchase Advanced Proficiency in skills
At 60 overall Experience, you may purchase Expert Proficiency in skills
At 90 overall Experience, you may purchase Master Proficiency in skills
At 120 overall Experience, you may purchase Legendary Proficiency in skills
