Willpower

This skill represents your sheer determination and your ability to establish your own reality, resisting the effects of certain magics and supernatural abilities. Generally, Willpower is used to defend against magical attacks when Composure, Dodge, Endurance or Resolve do not apply—essentially, when a supernatural attack goes directly for your soul.

WILLPOWER ◐

Center yourself metaphysically, reinforcing your own present reality. Willpower is usually used as a Reaction to measure how well you can resist raw magical assaults, curses, hexes, and hostile planar environments. This is triggered when you are subjected to a Basic Check targeting your Willpower.

Critical Success: You spiritually resist the triggering ability entirely. You take no damage and suffer no ill effects.Success: You successfully resist the worst of the triggering ability. You take half damage (if applicable) and ignore secondary conditions.Failure: You suffer the full normal effects of the ability.Critical Failure: Your spirit buckles. You take double damage, and any negative conditions have their duration doubled against you.

Special (Active Willpower) ⬤ ◌ ◌: You can spend 1 action on your turn to actively prepare to resist a magical attack over the upcoming turn. Until the start of your next turn, you gain a +1 Circumstance Bonus to your Endurance Defence for every Proficiency Tier you possess in Endurance (e.g., +2 at Advanced, +4 at Master).
