This skill provides you with the training needed to use a melee weapon. This is any weapon used in a close-quarters fight, including blades such as a knife or sword, a bludgeoning weapon such as a club or baton, or even a chainsaw.
You attempt to deflect an incoming melee attack and counter. When targeted by a melee attack, spend your Reaction to make a Melee Weapons check against a DC equal to the Strike or Brawl check targetting you.
Critical Success: You successfully block the attack (it automatically misses), and you may immediately make a Strike against the attacker as a Free Action.Success: You successfully block the attack (it automatically misses).Failure: Your reposte attempt fails, and the attacker's Strike hits you.Critical Failure: You fumble your guard and lean into the enemy's attack. Their attack resolves against you with a +4 Circumstance Bonus.You attack with a weapon you're wielding, targeting one creature within your Melee. Roll a Melee Weapons check for the weapon you are using, and compare the result to the target creature's Armour Defense to determine the effect.
