To understand grips you first have to understand the handedness; Left or Right of the player you are controlling. The dominant hand is always on top of the other.
Left Backhand - Right Stick 3 oclock
Left Forehand - RIght Stick 9 o clock
Right Backhand - Rich Stick 9 oclcock
RIght Forehand - Right Stick 3 Oclock
None - Right Stick Neutral PositionÂ
The longer the grip is held the more power at face off time you will have have. So if you want to use a forehand or backhand grip start the grip early and hold it.
Tie Up
Push up on the left stick just as the puck is dropped. This will push the body of your player into the apposing player. Works with all Grips.
Back Hand Pull
Using backhand grip roll the right stick down to the 6'oclock position just as the puck is dropped. The left stick is not touched.
Fore Hand Pull
Using forehand grip roll the right stick down to the 6'oclock position just as the puck is dropped. The left stick is not touched.
Neutral Pull
Using No grip pull right stick down to the 6'oclock position just as the puck is dropped. The left stick is not touched.
Back Hand Stick Lift
Using backhand grip roll the right stick up to the 12'oclock position just as the puck is dropped. The left stick is not touched.
Fore Hand Stick Lift
Using forehand grip roll the right stick up to the 12'oclock position just as the puck is dropped. The left stick is not touched.
Aiming - Left Stick
Aim where you want the puck to go with the left stick
