Note the Button # below in Retroarch has NOTHING to do with Buttons #'s above assigned in Linux jsTest.
Instead think of the #'s below as auto assignments to arcade mame button #.
ie 1 and 2 will be assigned for 2 button arcade games, etc.
From this screen the problem is obvious. Button 2 should be A. Why did it assigned Btn Y to Button 2? A and B should be 1 and 2.
Where do I assign Button 1? Where is this setting stored?
From this screen I changed Button 2 (Y) to Button 4 and Button 4 (A) to Button 2.
So how do I save this.

Means Button 2 so +1?
Just always use the UI. This thing is friggin insane.
