List of Games we own on Both Xbox One and Xbox 360. Cannot re-download from this list.
https://account.xbox.com/en-US/MyGames
From the 360 Download History we can re-download to the 360. No idea why this doesn't exist for the one.
https://live.xbox.com/en-US/Download/History
To redownload for the one the only way I've found is from within the One UI under My Games and Apps all the way to the right. From this list we can easily hide stuff and make it very difficult to re-download. Still don't get why the one does not have a download history like the xbox 360....

Summary
This page is mainly about storage on XBOX 360 and XBOX 1. My internal Hard DIsks are too small on my 360 and Xbox 1.
XBOX 360
Internal Hard Disks
Replacing with a left over internal notebook hard drive will not work. While we can plug it in on an xbox 360S, MS puts some special bits on the partition header or boot loader or something. Using a program called HDDHacker makes it possible but only with select Western Digital Drives. Not sure why they still have this restriction as they now allow multiple TB external disks to be connected through USB. Of course for 360 (Not Xbox 1) you can buy a replacement internal HD but at a an unfair price and only 500 gb space.
Games we downloaded previously can be re-downloaded from the Xbox Live here https://live.xbox.com/en-US/Download/History but the process is slow. We can add games to a queue but the queue size has a small limit and the download speed is slow.
External Hard Disks
Connect an external Hard DIsk to the USB Port on your Xbox. I had a 2TB external and to be useable it needed to be formatted on the XBox 360 and all content was erased. I think this is because I had the 2Tb formatted as NTFS and the 360 requires it to be Fat32. I got a new 3TB external it refuses to format or do anything with it. I even tried formatting at exFat in windows. Xbox 360 must have a 2TB fat32 restriction.
Speed on the USB Ports
On the XBOX 360 the USB ports are limited to USB 2.0 speeds of up to Theoretical 60 megabytes Per Second, real 40 megabytes per second. Still it is probably faster than the DVD-ROM. I have tried installing some games off of the Disc (NHL 2008) and I noticed no difference in playing or load times. Installing off the disc still requires the disc in the drive. I suppose some games might be faster. The fastest device is the internal sata 1.5 GBPS hd (Theoretical 1500 megabytes Per Second).
The Xbox one has USB 3.0 which has a theoretical 480 Megabytes Per Second. Real 110 Megabytes per second. Still this is 3 times faster than USB 2.0 on the 360.
Accessing your data
Click the big round X-Box X button on the Controller. Go to the Right Most Screen Settings. Down to System Settings. Click A on Storage. Press Y on Hard Drive. We Can Rename (Recommend rename on USB External to avoid Confusion).
Transferring Content
Click the big round X-Box X button on the Controller. Go to the Right Most Screen Settings. Down to System Settings. Click A on Storage. Press Y on Hard Drive. Click on Transfer Content, For Destination Device Select USB WD 2TB (My renamed USB External HD). Transferring Content allows us to transfer multiple items at once. The only issue I have with it, is that it transfers (moves) items. It does not copy. If you want to make the external a backup device the only way is to copy one at a time. Some might think this is silly since our games can be re-downloaded. But what if I can't access the download server? What if I have dial up. The download speed on their servers sux.
Copying Content
Click the big round X-Box X button on the Controller. Go to the Right Most Screen Settings. Down to System Settings. Click A on Storage. Press Y on Hard Drive. Drill into Games and Apps. Select a Game Details, Copy. Some games refuse to copy to the external hard drive. They do however allow move. Not sure why these prevent a copy since when I disconnect the external hard drive I am pretty sure I can just redownload to the main drive and end up performing the copy anyway. This just forces me to use more microsoft server bandwidth.
Save Games
Not sure why I found this so difficult. When you select a game you can drill into it by pressing A on the game. Under this you should see save games. For some reason save games refuse to copy. Have to use the Move Operation. I recommend keeping all save games in the cloud.
Questions
Is it possible to copy more than one game at a time to an external hard drive on the xbox 360?
No. Device Transfer removes games from source. To copy each game must be copied one at a time. Some games refuse to copy (ie. Dead Space). Updated parts of games always refuse to copy as well.
Can you connect an external Hard Disk formatted on the Xbox 360 to windows?
When we connect an external Hard Disk to the Xbox 360 it forces us to erase the external hard disk if it is not already Fat32. It ends up creating what windows see as a Fat32 Partition. Initially the only file visible is in windows is a file called name.txt with the name I renamed the device to in the Xbox 360. None of the game files seemed visible. It does however show the correct Disk Size and the Correct Free Space. After changing File Explorer to show hidden files the game files do show up as GUIDs. There is some kind of Compression on the Files but the file have no extensions and cannot be opened in winrar. This makes me think we probably can transfer videos, etc that could be played by the 360.

Questions
Can you connect an external Hard Disk formatted on the Xbox 360 to Xbox 1?
Yes but it can only be used for media (music, video, and pictures). To use it for games it wants to format it as NTFS.
