Currently selected sound can be determined by Holding down the Sound Button and looking at the right right of the screen. -01 thru -16 to indicate active sound. This is ONLY displayed while Holding down Sound Button. It goes back to clock after.Hold down sound button and press key from 1-16 to select active sound. Upper right corner of screen should change.During playback currently selected stound is displayed in step sequencer so trigger timing information can be edited.Recording Sequences
Press once to enter record mode. During record mode you can enter current selected sound into one of the 16 steps.
While playing, hold write and press any key 1-16 to punch in different sounds in real time. notes will be quantized along with current swing setting. release write when finished. This ignore current active sound.
Master Volume
Press and hold bpm while press 1-16 to set master volume level.
Knobs A/B
There are two knobs.
In Non Playback Mode with Write OFF they control sound parameters.
The changes are global and impact all sounds future on the fly sound button presses meaning If I change the sound while testing bass drum, snare's sound will change as well when I test that. In other words sound parameters are NOT preserved per sound.
We can however record sound parameters per sound in the sequencer . First get the sound you want in non Playback with write off. Then Enter steps in write mode those steps will records the sound parameters along with the steps allowing you to adjust per instruments sounds in the sequencer.
Select Active Pattern
Currently selected pattern can be determined by Holding down the Pattern Button and look at the blinking 1-16 key.Hold pattern button and press any key from 1-16 to select pattern.A pattern consists of 16 steps.In NON Playback Mode each # step is illuminated for the currently selected sound to indicate step trigger location in the active pattern.Copy Pattern
hold write + pattern and press 1-16 to paste the active pattern to the corresponding new slot.Clear Pattern
press funct + pattern to clear the active pattern.Chain Patterns
Chains Patterns to create a full song. Press and hold pattern and select which patterns 1-16 to chain by pressing the corresponding key 1-16. up to 16 patterns can be chained.one pattern can be selected multiple times. example 1,1,1,4 plays pattern 1 three times then moves on to pattern 4. after last pattern is played the sequence will start over again.Audio Output
There is a mono speaker.There is a stereo output and a stereo input.The input is ONLY used to sync multiple pocket operators with a click track using line in and out.sync modes
connect a standard stereo audio cable between the units. the master unit will control the tempo of the sync unit.hold funct and press bpm on master unit to toggle sync modes. press repeatedly to toggle between different modesthere are 5 sync modes. default mode is SY0.when sync is used the signal will be split between audio (right) and sync (left).Step Multiplier
press and hold any key 1-16 to select step while pressing bpm to insert a re-trig on that step.press bpm multiple times to switch between 2, 4, 8 or 16 multiplierThere are 16 steps per pattern. A Step Multiplier means play some sound more times between this step and the next step.No clue how it know which sound to apply this too. Maybe all?Effects
while playing, hold FX and press any key 1-16 to punch-in effects. Hold FX without pressing any key to clear effects as it plays.effect 1-16
