2026-06-07 CMOS Battrery appears Dead. Every time I cut power BIOS is reset and cleared and I have to go into bios and make two changes to get into windows.
(Optional) I turn off wifi as I only use bluetooth and lan.
(Required) Disable Armory Create under tools. Otherwise it keep prompting me to install thnat crap.
Supposedely the main purpose of CMOS is the clock. But as soon as I boot into windows the clock and time are fixed cuz the internet takes care of it. Next time I boot into bios it even shows valid clock.
Why can't CMOS just work like an OS and boot load config from a save?
Unfortunatetely accessing the CMOS Battery is a PITA on a mini ITX. There is a shield over the back connectors. That shield has to be removed to even see the battery. As I understand it that battery is glued to something and conneced by a cord. We would need to disconnect the cable remove it from glued location. And buy a specailly made CMOS Battery in a plastic case with the wiring.,
