Where Did The Year Go?

Here it is October 1st. Looking back, I can’t help but wonder where the year went. Looking ahead -

Willi tells us that October 7th is Egg Day for the TIC program. Volunteers should be at the Pequest Hatchery at 9 AM. If you have time to help, TIC activities are particularly rewarding.

Ed Sinning tells us that Float Stocking the Flatbrook will take place on October 15th. If you’re interested in participating in this fun event, contact Ed at edsinning@aol.com.

Warren has scheduled a chapter Steelhead trip to the Salmon River for November 13t/14. He also indicates that there may be a “short notice” Striper trip if the weather and fish cooperate. We’ll keep you posted.

In lieu of a speaker we are going to have three fly tying demonstrations at the October 21st membership meeting. Warren Weglinski, Darren Rist and Dave King will show off their tying skills. Bob Jacinto will make a video recording of their presentations. It should be an educational and entertaining evening.

Please be reminded that in November we are going to hold an election for officers, board members and committee chairs. Please let us know if you’re interested in a leadership role. Also be reminded that this year’s Christmas Party will be held on December 16th at the Sparta VFW. More about that to follow.

Finally, John tells us that the Sparta Glen Brook Restoration Project is on schedule. Stay tuned.
