Spring Has Arrived!

Post date: Apr 4, 2014 2:01:15 PM

At last. I think spring has finally arrived. At last. It’s time to trade in the switch rod and 10# tippet for trout gear. Opening Day in New Jersey is April 5th. Enjoy the season everybody.

I hope everyone enjoyed the banquet. We had 177 guests; the biggest banquet in chapter history. Preliminary figures suggest that the chapter did very well in it’s only fundraising event of the year. My thanks to all who attended, the Banquet Committee, and especially to Tom and Sue for their extraordinary effort.

Our speakers for our April meeting include Rich Thomas, Kelly Buchta and Brian Cowden. Come on out and get up to date on TU national and state happenings.

Tony Guarino is heading up the float stocking effort on the Flatbrook this year. Speaking about the Flatbrook, don’t forget that our annual clean up is scheduled for April 26th. Come out and enjoy the morning.

On April 26th we may also have a Wounded Warrior Fly Tying event at Picatinny Arsenel. Bob Jacinto will let us know the details at the membership meeting.
