GIVE WHERE YOU FISH!
Help New Jersey Project Win a Share of $50,000 from Orvis & TU
in the Embrace A Stream Challenge Running Now Through Nov. 11
Dear New Jersey TU Members,
Please join Orvis and Trout Unlimited in helping a great New Jersey project unlock a share of the $50,000 prize pool we've put together to support their work! The Embrace A Stream Challenge is a fun, week-long online competition encouraging all of us to “Give Where You Fish” and support local TU projects making the future of fishing better in 19 states across the country. The premise is simple, Orvis and TU have each put up $25,000 and invited volunteer-led projects to compete to win their share of the funds... But they need your help to win.
Here in New Jersey, the Ridge & Valley Chapter has embarked on a project to restore over one mile of Lopatcong Creek, a wild and native trout spring creek.
This great project has already received a grant from TU's Embrace A Stream program, but now through Nov. 11, you can help the project directly by going to www.embraceastream.org and donating $10 or more. Every dollar donated goes directly to that TU chapter project, and your gift can help the chapter unlock matching funds and additional cash prizes of $100 to $1,000 for their work.
For example, Orvis and TU are offering a 50-cent match for every dollar raised up to $1,000, and the chapter with the most donations will win a $1,000 cash prize! There are more than 150 different prizes and match offers, meaning every donation – no matter the size – counts and your $10 donation could mean an additional $100, $500, $1,000 or more in funding for the projects that you choose!
Don’t wait! Donate today at www.embraceastream.org and help Orvis give back to the rivers – and the sport of fly fishing – that we all care so deeply about.
Since 1975, TU’s Embrace A Stream program has awarded more than $4.7 million in grants to over 1,100 local chapter projects that bring TU’s mission to the local level.
