Soda bottles make for an easy and cheap alternative to regular bowling pins when practicing the underhand roll.
Collect these as you use them, or ask friends and family for donations.
When bowling, ensure the learner is practicing the correct skills, steps and cues to the underhand roll.

Use with any size ball that's most appropriate and comfortable to the leaner. Try your best to use a ball that they are able to roll with one hand, to really practice the skill of underhand rolling.
Modifications of Equipment
Modify and/or decorate bottles how you see fit. Choose something that will excite and motivate the learner. (Favorite movie, color, etc.)
Insert glow sticks into the bottles to play in the dark or to assist learners with a visual impairment.
Add bells or another source of sound to assist learners with a visual impairment.
Teach the learner how to set up pins by placing tape or stickers where each bottle should be placed.
