Glow in the Dark Ball

Uses

• Use this piece of equipment for learners with visual and hearing impairments to serve as an auditory or visual stimulus when practicing throwing and catching skills.
• This ball serves as a cheap alternative to most auditory and visual balls that can be quiete costly.
• Hearing and/or seeing the object approach the learner allows for them to prepare and attempt to catch the ball with limited visibility or hearing.

Construction Materials

• Whiffle Ball
• Short glow sticks

Instructions for Construction

1. Push glow sticks through a hole without sticking out.
2. Play!

Modifications of Equipment

• Combine with "Bell Ball" and play in a dark room for fun and easier tracking for learners with limited hearing and/or visibility.
• Play "Glow in the Dark Baseball" with smaller whiffle balls or cat-toy balls (see bottom picture).
