Use this assistive device to practice throwing and catching skills as an alternative to playing catch with a baseball mitt and glove.
This is a great skill for beginning and lower-skilled learners, as well as those who have trouble gripping objects.
Practice these skills while using the appropriate throwing and catching cues.
Make two of these so you and the learner can play together.

Instructions for Construction
Place the learner's flat hand on the top of the frisbee and trace it with a marker.
Make a strong strip of duct tape about 1-inch wide that covers the length of the four traced fingers.
Do this by cutting the length of the strip, and then splitting it in half down the middle. Now, tape those two pieces together with the sticky sides facing eachother.
Place that strip overtop and in the middle of the drawn fingers and tape the edges down.
Tape around the edges mutlitple times until it will be strong enough to last a while.
Flip the frisbee to the bottom side, and place as many velcro strips ("Hook" side) as you can to cover most of the surface.
Play with tennis ball or velcro-style ("Loop" side) ball.
See other options on this site ("Sock Ball", "Velcro Ball", etc.)
Modifications of Equipment
Super glue a glove to the frisbee instead of tracing the hand print and creating a strap with duct tape.
Use a gallon ice cream lid instead of a frisbee if you don't own one.
