Noodle Ring Toss

Uses

  • This serves as a creative and cost effective alternative to "Horseshoes".
  • Learners should play this game while practicing their underhand and backhand frisbee tossing skills.
  • Cues:
      • Underhand
          • "Tick, Tock, Step, Rock"
          • "Step Opposite" (step foward with opposite foot)
      • Sidearm
          • "Turn sideways to target" (throwing shoulder should face target)
          • "Step dominant" (step toward target with the same foot as your throwing arm)
          • "Snap Through" (snap wrists and fingers while following through with the toss)

Construction Materials

  • 4 Pool Noodles
  • 1 Wooden dowel (length depending)
  • Tape
  • Hammer

Instructions for Construction

  1. Bend 3 Noodles into a circle and tape ends together.
    • Don't need to place dowel in between as picture displays
  2. Hammer or stomp wooden dowel into the ground and slip the remaining noodle over top to stand up straight. (See Pictures)
    • Length of dowel depends on length of the noodle. You only need a long enough dowel to hold the noodle straight up

Modifications of Equipment

  • Can use more than 4 noodles, I simply reccommend at least 4 in order to have at least 3 tossing repetitions before needing to retrieve.
  • For the target, you can use anything that will stab into the ground and fit inside the channel of a pool noodle.
      • screwdriver, ruler, pen or pencil, etc.
