Stomp N' Catch Board

Uses

  • The "Stomp N Catch" is a great way for learners to practice catching and hand-eye coordination skills independently.
  • Use this tool when the learner has no one to play catch with.
  • Ensure they are using the correct catching cues.

Construction Materials

  • Piece of ply wood or a thin board (about 36"x6")
  • Drill
  • 2-3 screws
  • Piece of 3/4-inch PVC pipe (as long as the board is wide)
  • Measuring Tape
  • Tape
  • Super Glue (If you don't have a drill and screws)

Instructions for Construction

  • Cut or find a thin board at a length near the dimensions listed above.
  • Drill or glue the piece of PVC 4-5 inches from the bottom of the board.
  • Tape a piece of sand paper or tape at the end of the board to ensure the object won't slide down the board while you're using it.

Modifications of Equipment

  • Draw a foot on the end of the board to remind the learner where they need to stomp on the board.
  • Use any object that is safe and fun to catch.
