- Hurdles are a unique exercises that allows learners to practice jumping and leaping skills.
- These are a great addition to obstacle courses, too!
- This PVC tool is a much safter option than the sawhorses I used as a kid!
Construction Materials
Construction Materials
- PVC Pipe (diameter and lengths depend on the needs of your learner)
- 4 PVC 90 degree elbows
- PVC primer and cement (optional)
- Measuring Tape
- Marker
- Saw (Ask the store to cut them for you if you don't have one!)

- Decide on appropriate lengths before you cut the PVC.
- The horizontal bar can't be too wide!
- Construct the hurdle according to the pictures.
- Add sand or other filler to the legs on the ground to help support the hurdle up-right (optional).
- Avoid gluing the corners if you would like to make the hurdle taller in the future.

- If you don't have the time or resources to make this tool, simply use empty bottles and tape a stick or pool noodle across the top of them!
- Wrap pool noodle around the structure for more safety.
- If you've alrady created the "PVC Ladder Golf" tool from this site, take the top 1 or 2 rungs off, and use that!
- If you've alrady created the "Pool Noodle Soccer Goal" from this site, use that!
