TRENTHAM SCHOOL STATEMENT OF INTENT
PRE-SCHOOL VISITS

PURPOSES
To facilitate a smooth transition from pre-school to school for students and their whānau.
GUIDELINES
Children may have 6 weeks of school visits before their 5th birthday/or starting date.
Before visits commence, the parent/caregiver must fill in a ‘Pre-School Visit’ form.
Classroom visits will take place on a pre-arranged day and time in consultation with the classroom teacher and the parent/caregiver.
A parent/caregiver must stay with the child until there is mutual agreement between the teacher and the parent/caregiver for an unaccompanied visit.
Children on pre-school visits will not be permitted to use the school swimming pool.
Children may also attend the Sunflower Pre-school Club on a pre-agreed day and time from 6 weeks prior to their 5th birthday.
