Pineapple Chicken Duck
Paper, Pencils and Colored Pencils
9" x 12"
My Whatchama DRAWit prompt was to draw something with a chicken head, a pineapple body and duck feet. My idea for this piece was to follow through with what the prompt says while keeping it organized. There was a set prompt for this piece of art so it took less brainstorming and brain creativity but just still included art creation. This project relates to my life because it's fun, but it was also a little confusing to do at first.
The materials I used to make this piece were simple. I used a graphite pencil, colored pencils, and it is drawn on a piece of paper.
I experimented with a few processes in this piece. For example, the first process I needed to experiment with was with shapes. The chicken head, pineapple, and duck feet that I drew had different shapes in it that I need to make look neat even when they were put together to make the final drawing. One of the easier process that I used was color. This was easier to manage due to the three different objects simple color scheme.
My project evolved because it started out plain and boring until I added the pattern to the pineapple body and when I shaded the colors in to create a cleaner look to the final piece. The details that I added were very important to the final project because without them, it wouldn't look interesting and fun.
The next step to my piece could be adding more shading and texture. I could also create shadows to the piece to make it look cleaner.
