The story behind my final piece is just a regular school hallway, but much more unique. In my reference photo, somebody was standing in the doorway and I decided to include that into my piece. because I though it would be different from what other people where drawing in their own projects. This project relates to my life because I really love watching the sunset and in my drawing you can see that the girl is facing away from the school and just enjoying the sunset.

The materials that I used for this piece were paper, graphite pencil, colored pencil, and a pen. I used a 2H graphite pencil to lightly sketch my lines because I would be erasing a lot of line along the way. I used a pen to go over all of my lines and finalize them so they could be seen and bold. I then used colored pencil to add color because I liked the simple look of the colored pencils.

This entire project revolved around perspective which was new to me. I learned a lot about how technical perspective really is. In the beginning, this drawing started just as a bunch of lines all connecting to one viewpoint, but in the end, after adding color and specific lines, it came out to be an actual finalized project. I think that my project evolved when I added color and made the lines bold because before it just looked like a light sketch so adding pen and color made it look more finished. My next steps to this piece could maybe be adding more details along the walls or even to the girl and the sunset. I could also get more technical with the shading of the colored pencils.
