Children are some of the most vulnerable of us as they are young and do not have strong enough cognitive ability to clearly express their emotions. Thus meaning that they may express their emotions through outbursts of crying or screaming. All children have the same emotional needs as anyone else. They need to feel loved by their caregiver and safe. To meet these emotional needs children have to be shown that they are cared about. We can show them how much we care about in various ways such as asking them questions and being there for them when they need someone to talk to. These are small things that make a very big impact on them.
