Distance Learning

There is a place for distance or online learning, however, we shouldn’t completely replace the classroom just yet. The classroom will always be a special place that does more then allows kids a place to learn. Online discussion boards can do similar things yet it doesn’t stop the need for students to ask questions and develop a greater understanding of what they are learning about. Technology has allowed us to connect when far away but in person interaction is important and needed for students. Through difficult times and national emergencies distance learning is a great way to stay connected and still get school work done. It’s a wonderful tool, however, it’s important that we do not let it completely take over education.
