Equity In Education

We can not continue to ignore the equity problem faced in education any longer. The issues surrounding equity many school districts faced while setting up distance learning and the many protests against social injustice have shown us we have work to do. We have now seen that these issues go far deeper than ever imagined. It is time education faces these issues head on and begins to find solutions to them. To do this we need bias training for educators, open discussions within school communities, and a shift in how some things are done in education. It is time for something to be done if any change is ever going to take hold.
