After School Programs

After school programs are a very important part of a local community. They help with life skills that can often get overlooked by schools due to test scores being given so much attention. Kids are given a safe place to spend time with friends. Depending on the program they could be playing sports, learning debate, cooking, drawing, or any number of other things. It’s important that we keep these programs available so that kids have access to them. If we lose them as many kids will not a safe place to spend their after school hours. It could lead them to get into trouble and falling in with the wrong crowd. If we want to help kids keeping these programs is a start to that as for many it’s the highlight of their day.
