Educational Reform

There are many changes that need to be made within education. First and foremost teachers must get the respect they deserve. Second, the relationship between parents and teachers must become a bigger priority. We must open up a respectful line of communication with parents. We need to allow teachers the opportunity to teach in ways they feel is best for their students. Teachers should have their voices heard when decisions are being made within their school district. They are with students every day and know what they need better than anyone. We must bring in more social-emotional learning as a student emotional well-being is paramount. School safety is an issue we must stop talking about and start planning for. Schools need to be safe for all those in the building. We need to make sure funding is good for all schools. All schools should have access to the tools needed to help their staff and students. It’s vital that we make sure all students have educational opportunities that can help open up doors to them in the future.
