It’s time we see what can really happen when local businesses and neighborhood schools come together. The concept is nothing new as companies such as Google and Microsoft have been in the classroom for a while now. They’ve helped create digital systems for educational use. This is great but even more can be done outside of the tech sector. Local small businesses can open up a great deal of opportunities for the schools in their communities. Along with funding various programs can be created that grant mentorship and real world experiences for students. Thus allowing students to experience the career first hand. When schools and businesses work together both can benefit.
