Updates
You can download the updated Add-on 2 here. You have to install the Add-on first, then the Add-on 2. If you are not interested in any of the additional features of the Add-on 2, you do not need the Add-on 2. But you should always install the Add-on, see link below.
I can offer an individual Add-on 2 with your own player name as default player name (maximum 7 characters).
If you want to have it, send me an e-mail with your player name and I will send you a download link.
The current Add-on (version 1 September 2010) is optimized for Windows Vista and Windows 7. Download the Add-on of 1 September 2010 here. Please delete all former Add-ons.
I highly recommend to check all pages of my website for updates.

My wife and I still play - having just realised it's possible to run this old classic on Windows 7 x64. We both had our own copy of the game and had optimistically kept hold of the install CDs... hoping for a happy day like today!
Used to play this a lot - looking forward to having some LAN races with Mrs KultiVator again soon.
Thankyou so much for creating the patches / add-ons and offering the tips needed to get this gem running again after all these years... nice also to see it running at 1600x1200 in OpenGL (used to run it at 'just' 1024x768 on Voodoo 2 / Voodoo 3 cards back in the day).

Some installers have been updated, see here.
The current Add-on fixes the so called "Tansku effect" which causes crashes. More information about the Tansku effect via e-mail. In case of crashes, always reinstall the latest Add-on.
