TUTO

Hi Xinfe, great special tracks - thanks. I looked through every page of this forum to find how to change rock to snow in the in-game editor but couldn't see anything that worked for me. I have tried Edit Material Map but it never changes things. There must be something I am missing. A tute would be great!

The error.cpp CANNOT exist there because this would be the source code for the game. The error window just shows the portion of the code responsible for the error, for programmers to localize it. But the error seems to be connected with videocard problems, and usually you just have to change your video driver in the startup dialog (try DirectX 6 / DirectX 7 / OpenGL). It worked for me.

I think that there was a good tradition to post all your best times here for all original tracks. You can find mine at http://olegm.tk, and please post yours here! I wait :)

Hi Oleg, do you believe in the negative magic of the number 666? Interesting ... :-)

I wish you Happy Easter! And don't play too much. :-)

BTW: Usually only DirectX6 fits.

Add-on.exe version May 2009

I have published a new Add-on. This new Add-on is improved to avoid crashes of the game at Windows Vista. You can find more information and the download link at www.supreme-snowboarding.tk.

I was asked if you can use the installers at www.supreme-snowboarding.tk for Boarder Zone as well. And the answer is: No. All installers are made for Supreme Snowboarding. If you need installers for Boarder Zone, you have to send me an e-mail.

www.supreme-snowboarding.tk is temporarily offline. If this happens, you can click here or here for exactly the same content (no difference at all).

Aha. http://olegm.tk is offline for the same reason. And the same content is here: http://olegm.ho.com.ua/ (but with ad banner in the corner).

P.S. Hi all here :)

Thanks Oleg. I think you mean #22 Modified Landscape installer. I haven't tried it yet, but does it just change the relevant txt file to "Player Fall = 0"?

If that's all it does, I can do that by myself. I want something to actually change the rocks to snow, because I want to make a completely new path through Village Medium, not just make it possible for me to board over the rocks. Also, I can export the track to others and they won't have to change that file to go down the track.

Look forward to your reply

The numbers can change, because I add or remove pages from time to time. And, yes, it does change only the player_fall parameter.

Alpine Easy 1.19.19

There is a new world at Alpine Easy (Canyon Run): 1.19.19, the first race ever under 1.20.

You can watch the race at YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjJlPeVpydA&fmt=18

You can get the race (DAT file) on demand.

Anything New?

I've been playing with some of the modifications mentioned but would like to see some official releases (information).

This game can be so much better, but unfortunatly infogrames got a hold of it. They will not support, improve, or fix it. { i tried contacting the developers (housemarque) for information on the game's development/improvement/patching, but they can not release any because of some lame agreement with infogrames.}

Is it possible for the game to be run on a mac? I have the mac OSX version 10.5.6 and it is really annoying flicking between PC and Mac.

New Website and extra features

Hi all,

I've created a new website located at http://web.me.com/mattrocks_slee/Sup...ding/Home.html

I've added a new feature called Junior Hall of Fame where you must stay on the track to be legible for a record (see website for details). It's up to me to decide whether it scrapes legality or not so get in while it's hot. Also, if I get a good reply I am willing to extend the top 4 records on original (junior and not) to the top 10! This is only going to happen if I receive a high amount of emails. See my website for email, and other details.

Thanks

Matt

If you have a Mac, you are the one who can tell us if the game runs on a Mac. What you have to do:

1. Try to install the game on your Mac!

2. Try to play!

You will easily see if it is possible or not.

Sorry, that was a bad way of putting it, what I'm trying to say is I've put the disk in but it comes up with a jumble of files and codes, I have discovered it can't read .exe files and a jumble of others. At the moment I am downloading a trial of the program parallel, not sure it will work but it will simulate PC and hopefully run Supreme Snowboarding. The program costs money so if anyone can find a better solution tell me ASAP!

Cheers

It works

Parallel works! It's not as good as PC but is acceptable graphics, it has a lower response but it's still good!

Hi Matt,

shall it be a Supreme Snowboarding video? Didn't you or your father already create Supreme Snowboarding videos for the video platform of Google?

To create videos of Supreme Snowboarding best races I use the following tools:

• Supreme Snowboarding Demo ¹)

• Supreme Snowboarding Demo Add-on ¹)

• Supreme Snowboarding Demo Tracks ¹)

• Supreme Snowboarding Demo Add-on 2 ²)

• Fraps (the game has to be played in Fullscreen mode, or Fraps will not work)

• VirtualDub in combination with XviD (cut and compress Fraps videos)

• GoldWave (to add music)

¹) can be downloaded at www.supreme-snowboarding.tk

²) on demand via e-mail

Fraps does not work and I've already got the rest.

You have to:

• install all programs on a PC, not on a Mac

• start Fraps

• start Supreme Snowboarding Demo in the Fullscreen mode

• click F9 to start the recording of a video

• click F9 to stop the recording of a video

• quit Supreme Snowboarding Demo

• edit the video in the Fraps folder with VirtualDub

To get rid of the disturbing blinking yellow R in the Replay mode of the game, replace the game file FRNK0082.TGA with FRNK0032.TGA. Don't forget to save the original FRNK0082.TGA.

I've tried

I've tried numerous different ways but fraps simply does not work. I've got everything else but fraps starts installing, it nearly finishes but it comes up with a fatal error, then says it finished. I restart and it comes up with cannot open fraps because it was not installed properly.

???

For Windows Vista it should be a newer version of Fraps, for example 2.9.4. Older versions like 2.7.2 are for Windows XP only.

Hi all !

I'm working on a tutorial to create new tracks.

To play on a mac, you can try to virtualize windows. There is several solutions : Virtual PC, Parallels, Virtual Box...

Some are free, other not. The point is that you have to get hardware accleration for the graphics.

The second solution is to install Windows via BootCamp. Then, Windows have a full control over the hardware, and everythings behaves normally.

EDIT:Why another Hall of Fame (not the junior one, I mean) ?

This question was addressed to Matt, not to me.

The official Hall of Fame is the one at www.supreme-snowboarding.tk. In the past we have tried to introduce an alternative Hall of Fame, but the project failed. So I fear it will fail again, Matt. BTW: You can download packages of various races for the game here. A new package of races is going to published in November or December 2009.

Thanks Xinfe, I've given up on the idea, besides Supreme Snowboarding has got a small lag when played on Mac and the keys are too small, I tried inserting a new keyboard but shift wouldn't work, so I canned it. I fear my hall of fame is going to be canned too mk, but I'll leave it up. Also, I am putting videos of all of my best records onto the website, if you guys are desperate enough email me your best times (if you can't make the hall of fame(which I doubt)) and I'll make your own special page. Email and other things are located at my website:

Hi Matt, what about your other two websites?

I like the idea of having an additional page for selected races, including a description of why they have been selected, for example: "best race over the left", or: "crazy jump at 0.47.11", or: "maximum speed 200 km/h", or: "nearly a new world record, but unfortunately crashed with the last tree".

About new videos: If you want to get rid of the yellow blinking R in your videos, read the Tips & Tricks at www.supreme-snowboarding.tk.

Since now my best times are the current world records, you can find all 9 on one page at Youtube: www.youtube.com/mkzzzzzz

I hope, Matt, that you won't "steal" any of my world records, which, of course, belong to me forever. ;)

Perhaps someone should tell you that playing too much can damage your health. ;)

Ha ha, very funny. If that's so you'd probably be dead. And to my name, I am trying to defy everything you say so I beat your record on Alpine Medium. Give me a little bit of dignity and leave my record 1st for a while, please.

Also, how can I see how fast I'm going watching the replay?

Cheers

Sorry, it's not possible.

Your 1.23.60 race at Alpine Medium is great. However, I have to think about the Hall of Fame. It is temporarily offline.

I still do not know why you and Dom are so fast after only a few attempts.

Is it talent?

Is it cheating?

Could it be that a fast computer is an advantage?

If it is not only talent, the Hall of Fame would not make sense any longer.

I'll give it some thought.
