Your 1.23.60 race at Alpine Medium is great. However, I have to think about the Hall of Fame. It is temporarily offline.

I still do not know why you and Dom are so fast after only a few attempts.

Is it talent?

Is it cheating?

Could it be that a fast computer is an advantage?

If it is not only talent, the Hall of Fame would not make sense any longer.

I'll give it some thought.

Well, I am awesome, don't know about Dom, the way I play is:

If I don't get a fast time in the first 10 minutes, I try a different track. Repeating this process if I don't get going on any track, I try later. It's talent, and mind you, we have been playing for a couple of years now, we're familiar with the game and it's shortcuts EXCEPT village easy, I can never land your way mk.

Evaluation is a good way of improving

Follow one rule: MAKE IT OR BREAK IT!!!

Besides, is it even possible to cheat? I struggle to see how. I mean, it's obvious if we go over rocks, go through objects and some other third thing (quoted from Spongebob Movie).

AND I make videos on myself so cheating is impossible.

Cheers

Matt

Good answer.

Yes, it is possible to cheat, like at nearly every sports, but I won't go into details, because I do not cheat and don't want anyone to cheat. Of course not!

Since now a new Hall of Fame is online.

Your world record is online at YouTube (no music, no blinking yellow Replay-R).

Cheating

How can you tell when someone is cheating? I saw a video of someone cheating but if you do it on a minor scale, it's hard to tell. Isn't it? And have you had someone try and give you a cheated world record?

Awesome Record

Hi all,

As you should be aware I own Alpine Medium, I plan to own this track forever. Try as hard as you can but I just want to say:

I outran mk by 00.1.56 in my AWESOME new time, 1.22.40, it is just so cool. I have created a board as well in my spare time.

My new website is still under construction but have a look, it has Junior Fame, selective hall of fame, videos, screen shots, the whole deal. If you have a race that is NOT on mk's website then send my an email (see website) of your replay stating who it is from. A video of my new race will be available in the near future.

Selective Hall of Fame:

It sounds weird but is really awesome. What I've decided to create is a Hall of Fame for those funny and weird races you manage to complete. If you complete a race with the legibility requirements (see website) then SEND IT TO ME! I will need high times as well as the actual replay PACKED. I've made that mistake a couple of times too.

Junior Hall of Fame:

Hurry up and get a record will you?! It's not hard. I mean, get 10.00.00 and that is a record in Junior Fame, sure it won't last long but you'll be second for that little longer. Basically, all you have to do is race without leaving the beaten track and you're legible. Not hard.

For mk:

Hope you didn't get more than 1.22.40 because your going to be a tad bit disappointed because I beat you! Beating you is an achievement for me, don't know about anyone else but everyone knows how significant it is to beat you on anything, the rare amount of people that have beat you get beaten two weeks later, but that's not happening to me!

Cheers

Matt

CHEATED!? How? That's impossible, I tried really hard perfecting that! That's impossible! I spent the whole of 4 hours perfecting that run, I did not mess with the parometres or whatever you accused me of, but I would never cheat, I don't even know HOW! I've tried to cheat in my very early days out of frustration but I ended up crashing the game, I've never done it again!

Yes, it is possible, unfortunately.

I'll check your race another time later. And I'll think about it. However: You are in the Hall with an undoubted world record.

I would like to add:

Just because it's good, doesn't mean I cheated. I bet you thousands of people have accused you of cheating in Alpine Easy. In other, basic words. I DID NOT CHEAT!

In the meantine I will check your new race(s), and I will check if the processor or the graphics card has have any influence on the performance/speed of a race, including on my own races, of course.

A long time ago, a faster CPU speed up the game, but no more : the game can run faster, but the execution time is limited. And even if it runs faster, it's not easier, becase the run is faster (less controlable), but the clock is also faster. That why since a long time, realtime programs are no more time dependent.

1second = one second, no matter how you calculate it !

Probably mk meant that a faster computer can help go faster because the faster computer or a graphics card doesn't make a "slide show", and so you don't have to be distracted by slow motion or breaks. This happened to me before, and so I also think that a faster computer can help to race faster. Or a comfortable keyboard can help also.

Cheating: this is possible, but usually we can see that any cheat was used to make a record. I will not open the details and I don't want to cheat too. In reality there are races that seemed very "cheated" because the racer says he has made a huge improvement in time by just several minutes or hours. We know how hard it is to improve the time, it takes several weeks sometimes! And we also know a cheat that allows to improve by several seconds "just now", and so this can make us doubt about some "awesome" races. Sorry, Matt. Though your races are very good, such thoughts can visit our minds.

Alpine Medium 1.22.41

Hi Matt,

Oleg has checked your 1.22.41 race at Alpine Medium, found it "very perfect", and so it is a new world record.

I can see what your saying, but I have been trying endlessly on Alpine Medium for a week and a half, I think it's rather easy to be honest. Although, I would never cheat, I had a look at what cheating IS and saw a major difference, and I'm not the only one using my computer so I suspected my brother. I ran it through Michael and he cleared it, I've had a look on the Demo and it looked alright, AWESOME in fact, I also checked how it compared with my previous records, it was alright so I can confirm I did not cheat.

Thoughts like that do come to mind when I perform my absolute awesomeness throughout races. I've decided to have a break on Alpine Medium and I'm going after Forest Medium/Hard so watch out!

Cheers

Matt

Hmmmm. I could consider it, NOT! I am never leaving your records in peace until I succeed in holding at least 3 records. I accept Alpine Easy is yours to keep, Alpine Medium is MINE! I'll give you credit on Alpine Hard because I'm never going to beat that. The rest (except Village Medium) your going down! BD

New Record

Hi all,

As always I am trying to beat mk's records, but I have made an offer. I am attempting to become second in the world on every track (except Alpine Medium) and my offer is... if you guys can keep me out of secont I will leave mk's records alone.

At the moment I am 2nd on all of Alpine and Forest (excluding Alpine Easy(#3) and Alpine Medium(#1!)) and in need of improvement on Village.

Also, my new record on Forest Medium/Hard 1.00.05 (AWESOME!) is now #2 in the world overtaking Oleg M.

Re:

Matt, you already are the second best. And you are one of only three having a world record (the most awesome of all Oleg M has some world records on the Special tracks).

You have posted a video of your Alpine Medium world record at YouTube. But why have you posted it with a wrong time? The time was 1.22.41, not 1.22.74. Don't your know your own world record time? Do you want to change it?

Sorry, I have been creating loads of videos lately and I got mixed up with the times, later, I thought I had changed it! I have now changed it both on:

- Matt's videos on my website

Video tutorial

Tomorrow, i'll make a video tutorial to create new tracks.

Everything has benn pre-processed today : all needed files are in the appropriate locations, and ready to be edited.

I'll perhaps release a Supreme Editor version, with everything pre-installed, patched and updated, ready to edit a track.

There will be also a new track, the one I'll make in the tutorial.

Another tool can be used to edit TGA files (The GIMP), but not compulsary.

Just another thing :

I have reinstalled Supreme, applied the Patch, and the the Add-On, and some objects are black.

The most striking exemples are the skybox, the zepplin and some other lights (and other stuff). It would be cool to fix that before the video tutorial.

P.S : do you know a software to capture the screen which can watermark the video with the key pressed ?

For exemple, if I press "Ctrl", i'd like to see it on the video.

Stay tuned, perhaps tomorrow, certainly on Monday !

@ Xinfe: I've never had a black Zeppelin at XP or Vista. Which operation system do you have? If you have Wine, Linux or something like this, you should try Biebboek's "Wine Patch" at www.supreme-snowboarding.tk, either via "Add-on" / "More downloads", or via "Tips & Tricks" / "Finally" / "More downloads".

Screen capture: See www.supreme-snowboarding.tk / "Tips & Tricks" / "Cheats".

Rubin, I'm living on the edge : I'm using Windows Seven.

I'll try to investigate a bit further, with some compatibility options enabled or disabled...

just a thing to say :

Using DirectX6/7 is very buggy, I need to play in OpenGL

EDIT : Nothing new after a fresh install
