Sorry - didn't mean to imply that - I meant your profile here is configured so that if you try to e-mail you, you get:

"Sorry! That user has specified that they do not wish to receive emails through this board."

and you have no PM button either. (I think it's an option on the user cp).

Thanx for the e-mail address.

BTW Keep up the good work - those improvements look great!

There are some differences between the original tracks and "my" tracks:

FIRST: Easy track: less bugs and some other changes, last updated January 2004.

SECONDLY, made November 23, 2004: much easier Medium and Hard track! Did you test it!? The new Medium and Hard track are FUN!

Umm ok, can someone help me with this? I have the orginal boarder zone game, but I can't find any updates for the game. The one of the housemarqe website only seems to work for the supreme snowboarding version of the game.

Plus: How do I play online?

Re: New world record Alpine Easy

Thanks for all the fine work you've done. Are you going to maintain your web page and download site? I am working on a track and would like a place that I can send it to for others to enjoy?

This is my very last message in this forum. If you have questions or wish support, send an e-mail. Bye.

Deep Thread

Has anyone figured out how to incorporate the 'special' track within the game without doing the 'file swap' method?

That is have the 'special' come up after winning the club 3 championship race, as, i assume, was the original intention.

hi all!

It's been a long time since I've been here, sorry for that.

At the moment I'm on a low-budget machine, so I can't supply you guys with any new boards, but here are some board pictures, for people to work with, if they want.

I think we should get our own board somewhere, maybe we can ask the Atari guys for something like this.

After all, this is the only good snowboarding game for PC at the moment :) and the community is quite large...

Anyways, here's the pics (click to see):

If anyone provides me a blank snowboard, in the right formats for the game, I will create some boards out of all of these graphics, if you'd like.

I really hope that someone with some good programming knowledge creates a tool that can easily import new boards into the game, since for some people it's hard to edit all the config files and keep them synchronised.

I lost the source files, I will check if I posted some images here.

What I meant with the util, is something like a wizard like this:

- User selects a dir with source files (the high res versions of the boards that we created)

- User sees previews/thumbnails of these boards

- User selects to-be-installed-board

- User hits a button "IMPORT IT!"

- Program auto generates a dir for the selected board

- Program auto generates the right directory structure

- Program auto generates the right config files

- Program auto resizes the high res to the lower reso's

- Program automatically creates a new entry in the board files

- Ready

This all shouldn't be that hard to do, but since I can only program a simple calculator using Delphi :P, this is gonna be too hard for me...

Challenger8: Do you still have a blank board (white or black)?

If so, can you send it to my email: jjberends_at_gmail.com?

Done.

I am not able to produce such a utility. Anyone else? :eek:

And I am also not able to create NEW Special tracks. So I am waiting for bzone and others. :up:

You know: The name of my Special tracks file is "7.ZIP" - it replaces 7 of 9 tracks. It would be great to name the next file "9.ZIP"! So I need only two more tracks... :)

Cool stuff!

I'm busy getting some support from Hybrid(SurRender3d) and Housemarque for editing the .HX files, so we might be able to edit the 3d stuff sooner or later...

Also, I am looking for some nice clothing designs to create, since I am really getting bored of the default skins for Keith and friends...

Any ideas? Drop 'em here! Requests are always welcome!

Here's a small teaser, of an upcoming board pack, with some new 2005/2006 boards.

http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/6520/boards9le.jpg

Also, here's a mod, to turn on the first-person view:

Open the file

\Supreme\Data\GENERAL\ingamecamera.txt, and change it, so that

Code:

in_game_camera {

 name = "first person";

 min_height = 0.3;

 offset = {0, 0.0, 0.0};

 filter_coef_observer = { 0.2, 0.2, 0.2};

 filter_coef_target = {0.1, 0.1, 0.1};

 parent_bone = "fps";

 camera_unsafe = 1;

};

becomes

Code:

in_game_camera {

 name = "first person";

 min_height = 0.3;

 offset = {0, 0.0, 0.0};

 filter_coef_observer = { 0.2, 0.2, 0.2};

 filter_coef_target = {0.1, 0.1, 0.1};

 parent_bone = "fps";

 camera_safe = 1;

};

To access this camera in game, you will have to push F1 while on the track, and the camera zooms in to first person. To zoom out again, push F2. You can also press F2 several times, to get a wider view, and zoom out even more.

Note: Don't use the first-person view when performing stunts, since you can get quite dis-oriented or even motion sick!

Update: I gave Keith some new clothes. It's from the 686 collection, and I tried to match the real clothes as close as possible.

Keith now wears a 686 Smarty Metal jacket and some 686 Troop pants, all available in the official colors.

Here's a little sneak-peek:

http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/963/keith6864dv.jpg

I really hope you like it. If you want some matching gloves, let me know!

Latest progress:

I got myself the XBOX game Transworld Snowboarding, and took it apart... which resulted in some new boards!

This is the first one I ported from the XBOX-game.

http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/2...nsworld7uk.jpg

It takes some time to export them all, since I have to find the DDS-file with a hex-editor, inside a package, and copy/paste all the binary data into a new file... If anyone knows any tools for finding and extracting DDS-files in a file... let me know. There were tools like this in the past (like FM-EXT), but they don't work on DDS :cry:

Place the file in C:\games\Supreme\Data\GENERAL

overwriting the original. It will give you: 1st person view, heli-views, frontal and side views. You can cycle trough the camera views on the board, by using F1 and F2
