Short answer :

I probably won't make more highspeed tracks.

You can fix clipping errors by filtering the track :

AJA E > Edit landscape > Material map > Filter map > Save

In short : AJA E F7 F5 F6 and backspace to save

Useful if it's impossible to use an existing bin file.

For the Menu_Texture_Down.tga, I think that's it's possible to have the appearance of the original. Just a layers and filters game.

I haven't looked for creating installers, but it must be quite easy.

I have worked with DeJogg's Forest Easy track. The following is new:

- camera behind you at the start

- additional fences from FE v2

- Guide Rider

But I still have to fix and add a lot of safety splines.

However: This track is brilliant. Great work, DeJogg!

I had to fix some bugs in the official Special Tracks installer, for example at Village Medium v2 (when you fell on the middle part, you climbed uphill, which is fixed now). The updated Special Tracks installer, to replace all other Special installers with the same name, is at www.supreme-snowboarding.tk.

Also new: A "Snowpark" installer with 19 different tracks for the position of Alpine Easy, including Practice by DeJogg. The Guide Riders are the current world record races.

Ok, fair point. I was going to make installers for custom buttons.

Alright, my special track is done. Check it out at mattslee.tk, good luck!

Included is the custom buttons, they don't LOOK convincing but in the game they're alright.

Mass improvements on my website, a new Hall of Fame has been introduced AND a cool record for Survivor by Matt. It also advertises my 7 world records!

Time problem

I have only a few minutes.

Matt sent me a 1.04.97 race at Forest Easy. Compared to my 1.04.99 world record Matt was slower, because he passed the Finish line behind me. He passed the Finish line exactly 0.03 second behind me.

You can see it in the Demo version when you show both races together (Matt's race in the background):

http://ssb.bplaced.net/picture1.jpg

And you can see it in the DAT Analyzer:

http://ssb.bplaced.net/picture2.gif

I passed the Finish line after 71.63 seconds (6.64 + 64.99).

Matt passed the Finish line after 71.66 seconds (6.69 + 64.97).

What do you think about it?

It is another interesting phenomenon. Going back on what you said, you passed the line after Jupp but still beat him. I did the same. Go me!

I don't see where the trouble is...

Matt was faster, that's all !

The time is counted from the start line, not from the beginning of the race.

For a custom banner, you have to create a 256x256px jpg file. Drop it in the folder objects/banner_texture.

To finish, edit /General/Object_Classes.txt, and add at the end :

I know this is going back a long way, but I have done the above. How do I change the mesh pattern of 'Banner_Wide' in the internal Supreme Editor?

Try Edit Object > Keypad 1-2 or Keypad +/-

Your custom banner have it's own idx ? In the example I gave, I have pasted the idx used by mine...

Just check Object_Classes.txt

Ok, I'll check it out. My laptop got wiped so I've got to set things straight first. I tried keypad 1-2.

The installer: Absolutely awesome!

Yes, I thought you would like it. It is a great picture. Where did you make it?

Which installer?

About my package "Modification 2009": You can extract the content of the folder "modified" to the folder of Supreme.exe, to see all changes. You will find a lot. Later you can extract the content of the folder "original" to restore the original settings, or you can reinstall SSB_FULL.EXE, which does not overwrite your high times files and the Replay files (different from the Full version).

If you want to know who is responsable for which part of the package, you have to ask me. This is just "the best" (in my own opinion) of many people, including Xinfe and myself. It is a true "Best Of" package. Combined with "modified_background.exe" your game will look completely different.

Done. My first attempt turned out ok, my very first attempt was a mess. I need a new colour scheme though.

Any good ideas?

To mk,

I meant the modification installer, the background picture is pretty cool!

My Special won't be available before quite a long time : the year restarts, no more holidays. I don't even have electricity in my apartment.

It's quite a mess, but you can be sure I will finish my new environment, and will release it with three tracks designed within it. There is also a possibility to use a part of the track as an air competition. Perhaps I will integrate an half-pipe to complete the full environment.

If you want a progression about my environment, let's say <15%. I have done quite much, but I still have to work on it.

So, in this case, it's more 17,6%

I like the special tracks, though why would you put special Alpine by Mr K? It is already in one of the installers. My computer is set right so I MIGHT get round to doing a special track. It won't be as good as Xinfe's though. :D

I still do not know if I will ever publish "Special Tracks #4" on my website. The chart above was just an idea. But I still do not know what I will do, and when.

Xinfe, before your computer crashes, before you lose all data, you should send me your track!

In a French ski resort : L'Alpe d'Huez.

Don't fear a crash : the track is regularly saved online.

Where exactly? Can you give us a link?

To all: I already told you that I love DeJogg's Forest track. Every track builder can learn from DeJogg!

I have found that "Rooftops" isn't a good name (it was my spontaneous idea), so I decided to just call it "Special by DeJogg". A new, improved beta version of "Special by DeJogg" is now available. Please send me an e-mail to get a link and additional information. And please delete everything on your computer which is named "Rooftops by DeJogg"! From now on it is "Special by DeJogg", and it is getting better and better.

I am planning another special track, but a bit later. I have records to beat!

Indeed, you don't want to lose it! We can give you feedback if you want.

I have made a pretty good banner. It's done. I will email the Object Data to mk, see what you think.

Survivor by Matt new record! 1.03.91. I didn't really want to reveal this route but oh well.

Thanks

The Hall of Fame for Special Tracks is a '404' error. Never the less, my WORLD RECORDS are published on my website.

xinfe

09-03-2009 01:02 PM

I won't publish my track before the end of the creation.

mk, be happy : I will perhaps create splines because there is an annoying trouble : without, the snowboarder is reset in the wrong direction (facing the beginning)

In the end some world records will remain in your wild dreams. But not in any Hall of Fame.

I don't have the time to check them. They are probably all faked, as usual.

I have found a way to check if a record is faked or not (with the DAT Analyzer).

Perhaps with more engineering, it's possible do create a 100% safe checker. I have some ideas, to talk with Oleg...

Do you want to talk to me in private? Welcome then.

If not - welcome here. It's interesting. And I know some more things about DAT files too. :D

Videos cannot be proof that a record is faked.

We now thinking about analyzing DAT files to identify that the record is faked.

I still don't understand how you think I would cheat. I am always a clean runner.

As for the HOF, mine will be updated constantly and instantly (a lot of work for me :D) but my videos may be delayed for around a week. I struggle to get on my PC for a length of time, annoying siblings take over :pout:

On a lighter note, my main videos are complete and up for watching with music, although on a couple Youtube removed the soundtrack, but music runs when played off my website.

Also, my Special Track is under going, it is a high speed (it is quicker to complete) and so far not so good, it may take around 2-3 weeks to complete, which isn't bad.
