Thanks !

Supreme snowboarding isn't dead ! :noob:

(Bzone in the States)

Thanks a lot ! I learnt a lot on this forum. Everything I could backup is backuped (except the forum itself. I hope that Atari do backups). I will publish everything online on my site.

EDIT:I have uploaded files on my site : http://xinfe.free.fr/SupremeSnowboarding

(It's not an ad, don't want to be banned :p). Everything is uploaded, from the smallest file to the 18mo pack !

The Document.txt file is a personal reminder. I have done it to remember what i have to install, how do the editor works. Some copy/past from the forum, all the rest is from me, so, it is in french ;).

I managed to open and export Vincent Reno. I can open it and edit it with Blender (an Open Source 3D tool). I hope that there will not be some troubles with bones or other things, like unwrapping...

So...how to edit a character ?

Open it with 3D object converter. Export with "Blender's Videoscape 3D dialect (*.obj)" format.

In Blender, in the Import menu, clic on the Viderscape button. Select your obj file, and mod it !

I will try to poligonize ( ) Vincent Reno.

EDIT:I cant find the right format for the export. There is no input for SurRender 3D, BoarderZone, Supreme Snow, Umbra. No *.HX extension in the details, between the "(" and ")".

EDIT2:I have sent a mail to the program creator. The software only LOAD the HX files, but can't save.

Ah ! I am also doing a new track for Supreme. I have some trouble. Perhaps there is an answer in this forum and missed it.

- Can't change the materials DISPLAYED. So, the material exists, but isn't rendered. Is it the Update mipmaps levels <F7> buggy option in the aja editor ?

- How to create the track map. Generate Raw_Map.tga doesn't works !

And what about the Old Timers, like Bzone or Fjguarino. No news ?

Thanks a lot.

Nice site xinfe

Rubin - unless mk, bzracer, et al. have a problem or concern with their installers and files being posted on other sites it's actually better to have the files available from multiple sources (other groups have been set back when a sole source suddenly disappeared), and having a complete list of available files on one site is always useful. (Of course proper credit for the files should be posted when available).

I agree tottaly. I have asked the guy at 3d object converter and he has confirmed there will be no save module for the hx file format but at least we can use the models already there in other things. But i did find another game that used the same version of the surrender 3d that supreme snowboarding uses but it used lwo objects and it performed well. If you would like to get it just email me.

I have uploaded the new version of my Ximod :

- Use another font

- Change the loadingbar

- Change the HUD display (based on Fjguarino HUD mod)

- Change the Jump meter display

- Include my new track, with AI paths, guide and replays, and personal track image. Strict minimum files for the track to work (is it english ?)

- Adds some sentences to the french Main_Menu (especially the name of my track)

- Change some of the game texture (not the best idea )

- Change the personal settings as I like.

- You want more ? Do it yourself :p !

And my track isn't finished yet ! I will make it longer. I want a track map ! How do I do it ?

EDIT:I forgot the link : http://xinfe.free.fr/SupremeSnowboar...imod-1.01b.zip (9.5mo)

Hi Nearlucid, there is a question mark in your picture (link above). The question mark is the railroad_bridge.

The railroad_bridge is in none of the tracks. As soon as you want to add the railroad_bridge to a track, the game crashes.

The reason is a bug of the game. To fix it, open (edit) the file

\Data\Levels\Forest\Objects\railroad_bridge\matlist.txt and replace all /railroad/ with /railroad_bridge/.

Afterwards you can add the railroad bridge to any track - and you can add it to your file allssobjectstitled.jpg instead of the question mark. ;)

Why they didn't finished the game ? It's not a real bug ! It's just a mistake. A bit of care and it works !

Thanks for the 'patch'.

Can I include it in my mod, or it's private :D ?

If i can, i'll manage to include it in my track ;) .

EDIT:I have continued my map. New village, quite long jump, rail road (for the bridge), vehicules...The WE, I probably won't work much on it because I have quite a lot of work :'(.

Yes, i WILL need :noob: .

Oh, I looked after the buggy fences with your method but I couldn't fix any fence, so I erased them from the index (not to loose the unsaved modifications). BUT, I saw "skilift_pole", "skilift_cable" and "skilift_chair". I managed to use it. I had to fix the skilift_chair (mistake in the texture name), and I could use everything to get a magnific skilift...with seats in the snow, with 90° of excedent rotation. Sooooooo bad. I you can find how to get the seats up, you're welcome !

Also, I included a railroad and a rail_bridge on my map. I'm getting closer and closer to the end !

too bad... otherwise we could have taken this game to a whole new level and adapt it to the modern day graphics-standards...

Yeah, it seems so. It is interesting to watch the objects (.hx files) with the "3D Object Converter for Windows 3.90x dev." - but you cannot change the objects. :bulb:

Xinfe, can you send me your modified files?

By the way:

Patience? What is "patience"? C'mon, the community is waiting. :D

What does "Ximod" mean? "Xinfe's incredible modification"?

At the beginning, it was the contraction of Xinfe modification, but your suggestion is great ! :)

Perhaps I'll adopt it, perhaps not. Whatever can happend, it will stay Ximod :p

See you all soon and talk about this update to everyone !

May i suggest we post a new topic on mod db. I ask this because this thread has long out lived its sell by date. And the topic would be strictly for modding purposes only and not things about world records.

Hi guys !

With Rubin, we tried to find which files aren't useful for the maps. The very minimum, a full track (with menu images) is less than 500ko ! It's amaizing how problems can be solved.

For exemple : in the editor, if we paint a material, the land displayed don't change, but reacts as it should be. I you erase all Material_Map.binX, the land is displayed as it should be. Easy no ? You can also remove other files but...I have created a Learning_Map that you can download on my (updated) website :

http://xinfe.free.fr/SupremeSnowboarding/

Don't mind for the english translasion, it was speedy ;) .

Come and see later, perfaps new tracks will be relased (if you create some :D)

All for now

don't bust up this thread.

there once was a thead that covered the game that had all the information here plus site listings that one could download all kinds of things, clothes, boards, tracks, etc., that atari had pugred, not archieved but PURGED.

keep EVERYTHING in one place. with the number of views and replies, maybe, just maybe atari won't dump this one.

thank you

Hi bzone, I think that everything is archived now (I did not see the old forums when they were active):

http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums.../t-163553.html

http://forums.eu.atari.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20

You'd better save all available pages and addresses now. You never know if domains or addresses will still exist tomorrow.

Online racing with Hamachi

Online games are now easily possible with Hamachi installed.

Thanks to John B for the following information:

1. The host sets up a network name on Hamachi. The wizard makes this easy.

2. The clients enter the network name in Hamachi and connect to the host.

3. The host starts and runs a LAN snowboarding game as normal.

4. Clients connect as normal however depending on speed - it can take up to 1 minute for the client to recognise the LAN game exists. After that there is no lag.

Ximod 1.02

The new Ximod (1.02) is available on my webpage :

http://xinfe.free.fr/SupremeSnowboarding/

The modifications affects in majority the display, so Supreme could be slower on some computers. If you want, you can change the snowflakes displayed in the game. You just need to change the file'name :

\Supreme\testdata\Replaceflake.tga

->

\Supreme\testdata\flake.tga

The flake is taken from jfguarino'pack.

Bye !

New track !!!

:noob:

I'm proud to announce all of you that I am building a new track, and I have done...hummm...something secret.

Rubin is always my official beta-tester.

I can tell you that the progression is about 80% :)

Perhaps a public release soon, or not. ;)

Bye all, and stay connected (I love write that, dunno why)

10-27-2006 01:47 AM

Track nearly finished !

I worked a lot on my track, and I send my latest version to my beta tester. I'm jsut waiting for his comments and suggestions.

The secret have absulutly no link with HX files.:bored: Nothing new for this damn files...

Oh, I looked the source code released. It's about these HX files. Perhaps someone can exploit the source...perhaps...

So, the secret is...a surprise. Nothing amaizing, just a little thing created for fun (by me, me and me). Due to an error of manipulation, I have lost the most up to date files, but nothing dramatic (I hope), because there is a copy in my Sent Mail folder.

That's all folks !
