Mergenthaler Scholarship

The Mergenthaler scholarship is made possible through the generosity of Mrs. Lillian Mergenthaler to residents of the St. Joseph, Michigan School District, for the purpose of furthering their education, to better their own lives and the lives of those around them. The St. Joseph Lions Club is the designated administrator of the annual scholarship program. 

The Lions Club of St. Joseph awarded three four-year Mergenthaler Scholarships  to St. Joseph High School graduates, Thomas Chen, Claire Lundy, and Laura Wolf. Chen and Lundy plan to attend the University of Michigan, and Wolf plans to attend Calvin University. 

Lions Club of St. Joseph scholarship

Each year the Lions Club of St. Joseph awards 1 year club scholarships to students who reside in the St. Joseph School District area. This year the club has awarded 1 year Club Scholarships to the following graduates: Gabrielle Dilley, Claire LaValley, Brooke Russell, and Grace Wertanen. Gabrielle plans to attend the University of Kentucky, Claire plans to attend either Michigan State University or Virginia State. Brooke plans to attend Taylor University, and Grace plans to attend the University of Michigan.
