Regular Meeting

Today's meeting was held in the Briarwood Pavilion at Riverview Park. For the first time in a year, we were able to have a pre-meeting lunch and some social interaction.

Good food and good conversations.

Look who showed up ! "Hi Leo" - Welcome Back.

We were honored to have three quests today.

Lion Vern introduced his guest Tom Jennings who talked about our upcoming Super Book Fundraiser.

Lion Steve's guest was Dave Holmgren, maybe a new member?

We were glad Lion Ed brought his wife, A.J. to help place flags at the cemeteries.

Lion President, Carrie, rings the meeting to order.

Membership Chair, Lion Dan, presents Lion Kock with his 10 year membership chevron.

Lion Tom goes over the plans for our weekend White Cane Drive.

Lion Dave talks about our upcoming activity to place flags on the graves of verterans after the meeting.

Lion Ed reported on our recent Work Day at Lions Park Beach and Tiscornia Park. We painted all of the picnic tables and grills at each park.

Lion Tamer Allen led us in singing Happy Birthday to Lion Dennis along with his usual trivia questions.

Lion Bob reported that we will be begin selling car wash tickets in the near future.

Lions Callendar and Schreiber appear to be enjoying the meeting.

John Hodgson, St. Joseph City Manager, was our guest speaker today. He updated us on some of the important things happening in the city this year. John is a real history buff and talked about some of the veterans buried in local cemeteries.

Once again there was no winner for this week's Pot 'o Silver.

The St. Joseph Lions were busy this week.

After today's meeting the Lions traveled to Riverview & City Cemeteries to place flags on the graves of veterans for Memorial Day. Click Here to see the flag placement photos.

On May 27 & 28, 2021, St. Joseph Lions "hit the streets"
to collect for their White Cane  Drive.
