Regular Meetomg

Another Z00m meeting, hopefully the weather will get better and we can meet OUTSIDE!

Lion Prez Carrie calls the meeting to order.

We always start with "My Country Tis of Thee".

Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Lion Ed gave the blessing and then had a very short secreatry's report.  He also reminded the members  about our annual Lion's Beach Clean-up on May  7 from 12:00-4:00 and picnic starting at 5:00 P.M..

Lon Prez Carrie reported that we will be moving ahead on two new fund raisers, selling car wash tickets and Super Books.

Lion Larry(who doesn't want to be recognized) reports that our club has collected over 3,000 used eyeglasses to contribute to the Lions Eyeglass Challenge.

Tail Twister, Lion Tom, is finally back from Florida and was busy trying to collect some more fines.

Lion Tamer Allan challenged us with some sports trivia.

Lion Drollinger paid in "bitcoin" to have us sing Happy Birthday to him.

Lion Vern obliged him by singing his "short" version of Happy Birthday..

Lion Larry Wosniack(Lakeshore Lions) presented a program on the upcoming events of our local Lest We Forget organization.

The organization is committed to honoring our military veterans.

This year's event will be honoring those who served in the Korean Conflict and is free to the public, except for the helicopter rides.

The event this year will be held along the St. Joe River

They will be bringing in a replica of the Korean War Memorial in Washington D.C.

There will be an reenactment of the Battle of Inchon .

The Twin City Players will present a  performace of M.A.S.H based upon the TV show.

Henry Seo, a Korean native, will be bringing in some cultural displays andthere will be performances by  Koran group(s) from Chicago.

There will be a recognitition of Local Korean Conflict veterans. By clickin on this LINK, you can watch a video produced by Berrien RESA with interviews of local Korean Conflict Verterans. 

On both days there will be an exhibit of military equipment.

Once again camera shy Lion Tom, had last meeting's non-winner, Lion Morgan, draw today's Pot'o Silver. 

Lion Dennis indicates she drew another loser - Lion Jerry Jones.
