Basketball Tournaments
Over the last 15 years, the Saint Joseph Lions Club has been the proud sponsor of a middle school boys' basketball tournament. This event offers a wonderful platform for young athletes to engage in the camaraderie of team sports. Throughout this remarkable journey, we have facilitated the participation of around 2,100 talented athletes in a total of 315 thrilling basketball games. This translates to an impressive annual average of 140 athletes and 21 exciting games for these budding sports stars.

Middle School Basketball Tournoment
At St. Joseph High School, Saturday January 20th, 2024
Open exclusively to teams composed of 6th to 8th-grade students from your school, our tournament welcomes up to 16 teams, categorized into four divisions reflective of skill levels. Within these divisions, every team engages in a series of three games, resulting in the crowning of four division champions.
Adding to the excitement, we host a thrilling 3-point contest during the event. To ensure fair play and professionalism, each game is officiated by certified MHSAA officials. We are deeply grateful for the generous donation of facility usage from St. Joseph High School.
The best part? 100% of the proceeds generated by this event go to support Camp Leo, a camp dedicated to enriching the lives of children with special needs. It's not just a tournament; it's a heartfelt endeavor to make a difference.
Furthermore, this tournament provides an excellent opportunity for your teams to gain more experience under MHSAA rules, offering a fantastic platform for their growth and development.
