Today's meeting was called to order by president Lion Dave Offord. Secretary Lion Mike Medo read a very nice thank you letter from the Miss St. Joe commttiee. Lion Vern introduced his guest, wife Lois and Lion Farewell introduced his wife Harriet. We were glad to have them as guests today. Now we all had to be on our best behavior. Lion Bret gave us a report on the upcoming Boys Middle School Basketball Tournament to be held January 25, 2020 at St. Joseph High School. 13 middle school teams will participate(see the tournament web page here). Lion Tom Hanley went over the volunteer assignments and urged any Lion to come assist if they were able. Lion Vern announced that the Tail Twister was running a special activity to go along with the "Big Game". Anyone can participate. Lion Tail Twister Lion Gordy was back at his old tricks with collecting fines from unsuspecting Lions. Lion Tamer Lion Micah had a short trivia contest about basketball and also celebrated some birthdays. The tradion in the club is to sing happy birthday to the birthday Lions, as seen below. It also looks like we may have another winner for the Pot 'o Silver if Lion Ren shows up again next week. We also welcomed Lion Phil back with his new"shoulder". Glad to have you back Lion Phil.

Our program today was presented by Bonnie and Joe Barrett. They told us about their fantasic journey as they biked across America. They started in Washington State looking at the Pacific Ocean and ended in the Great State of Main looking at the Atlantic Ocean. The trip took them 75 days to complete and they traveled a distance of 3,680 miles. They experienced some great views, met some friendly people and had some neat and sometimes scary experiences. This was a very interesting program, thanks Bonnie & Joe.
