The Pomeroy Armorial tree in the 15th century was headed by

Sir Edward Pomeroy, son of William , grandson of  Sir Thomas Kings Knight 1472 & 5th son of Sir Henry Pomeroy by his wife  Johanna Moels .

The  Barony came to Edward after the death of Sir Thomas son of Robert of Smallridge Bockerel & Upottery , whose wife was the twice married & widowed Joanna Chudleigh the heir to the barony with her sister Margaret Cole.
Having usurped the title to themselves Thomas & Joanna, married 1388 ,failed to produce a living heir and the title reverted to  its rightful male heir, Edward . He was the grandson of Sir Thomas, a Kings Knight, 5th son of Sir Henry Pomeroy by his 1st wife Johanna Moels
Edward was married to  Margaret Bevill  between 1403, probably when she was still a baby , with the marriage settlement fulfilled in 1435  possibly when their son  Henry came of age. He was the 10th Sir Henry Pomeroy , born round 1415 and   married to Alice Ralegh who gave him  at least 6 children .
