Snickerdoodles
1 c shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c flour
2 t cream of tartar
1 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
2 t cinnamon
2 T sugar
Pre-heat oven to 400º. Mix together shortening, sugar, and eggs. Sift together salt, soda, and cream of tartar. Stir in. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned but still soft. Bake at 400º for 8 to 10 mins.
