Chocolate Chip Cookies
(From back of the Gold Medal flour sack)
1 1/2 c (3 sticks) butter (softened)
1 1/4 c sugar
1 1/4 c packed brown sugar
1 T vanilla
2 eggs
4 c flour
2 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 package (24 oz / 4 c) semisweet chocolate chips
Option: add a package of butter brickle chips ... either as 1/2 of the chocolate chips, or in addition.
Pre-heat oven to 350º. Mix butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs in large bowl. Stir in dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips.Drop dough by rounded measuring tbls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 mins or until light brown. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
