Below is an announcement by the Moot Court Team at UC-San Diego, which is hosting the 2024 National Association for Moot Court High School Virtual Tournament on March 9 and 10, 2024. They are seeking volunteer judges to serve on panels via Zoom for each of the 45-60 minute tournament rounds.

My name is Katelyn Lucius and I am a Co-President of the Moot Court Team at UC-San Diego. I am reaching out to ask for your support.
Would you consider volunteering for between 1-4 hours on Zoom as a judge for our National Association for Moot Court (NAMC) High School Virtual Tournament on Saturday March 9th or Sunday March 10th?
In high school Moot Court, students from schools nationwide present legal arguments on a given constitutional issue while a panel of judges ask questions about their arguments.
Your role as part of the judging panel would be to question competitors about their argument in an appellate-style oral argument and score them based on their performance. The case for this tournament will focus specifically on the First Amendment’s Free Speech Clause, but it is not necessary for you to have any special expertise or knowledge on the First Amendment in order to judge for us!
Our tournament is scheduled to have 3 rounds on Saturday and 4 rounds on Sunday; if you decide to judge, you can choose how many and which rounds you would like to volunteer for. An individual Moot Court round lasts for forty-five minutes to an hour. The tournament will be entirely virtual on Zoom so you do not need to be in-state to participate.
This is our Team's first time hosting a tournament for the new Moot Court high school competition circuit and we would be grateful to have you there!
