Speakers: Christina Kasper, President of Urban Sight, Inc./Project Manager for Glass City River Wall and Nicole LeBoutillier, Co-Founder of Urban Sight, Inc./Operations Manager for Glass City River Wall
Topic: "Glass City River Wall"
Urban Sight, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was born in Toledo, Ohio out of the desire to connect and elevate communities through the universal language of art. An integral aspect of Urban Sight’s mission is educational endeavors to provide an avenue for community members to connect and further develop their individual skill sets. Their goal is to invest in urban communities through art, so that they have a vehicle to reinvest in themselves. Their pilot project, the Glass City River Wall (GCRW), establishes a blueprint for future endeavors.
December 20, 2021:
Speaker: Sean Savage, Founder, The V Project
Topic: The V Project
The V Project is a grassroots community initiative in Toledo and northwest Oho to educate, motivate, and vaccinate residents in the region and slow the spread of COVID-19. The projects goal: to vaccinate 70% of the community. The V Project was conceived last fall by a local businessman. Since then, hundreds of leaders from industry, government, healthcare, education, non-profit, and religious communities have united in this historic effort. The V Project is working in partnership with the Lucas County and Wood County public health departments. Organizers and volunteers have met with Gov. DeWine, Sen. Sharrod Brown, and Sen. Rob Portman.
