Romans 1:26–27

A surprising way in which God shows his wrath

Because of this [exchanging the truth of God for a lie], God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

Homosexual lusts are shameful, Paul says. Homosexual acts are a grievous sin, but this kind of sin is by no means the only sin God allows unrepentant sinners to become entangled in. A dreadful catalog of vices and evils follows. All are examples of God's wrath, of God's way of dealing with crass sinners by letting them do what they want. What a terrible punishment!
