Ingredients
CRUST
1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Flour, sifted
TOPPING
2 each Eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup Light Karo Syrup
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
2 tbsp Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Coconut, shredded
1 cup Walnuts, chopped
Preparation
Blend sugar and butter, stir in flour and pat mixture on bottom of ungreased 9 x 13 x 2 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
Blend eggs and ½ cup brown sugar, stir in Karo Syrup and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt, mixing well. Stir in coconut and nuts. Spread over bottom mixture. Return to oven and bake 25 minutes longer, or until top is golden brown. Cool in pan and cut into bars.
