Ingredients
1/2 lb Pork
1/2 lb Beef
3 tbsp Oil
1 cup Onions, chopped
2 tbsp Molasses
8 tbsp Soy sauce
1/2 cup Water or stock
1 cup Celery, thinly sliced
1 no. 2 can Bean sprouts
1 small can Water chestnuts
Preparation
Cut meat in small cubes. Heat the oil in a heavy skillet and brown the meat cubes. Push the meat to one side and brown the onions lightly. Add molasses, soy sauce, stock and celery. Cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes. Add more water if necessary. Add bean sprouts, cover and simmer 30 minutes longer. If the liquid needs thickening use cornstarch or flour blended with a little cold water.
