An 8x8 Checkerboard, one black “wolf” counter and twelve white “goat” counters are required for play.

History

Objective

The objective of the player controlling the goats is to block the wolf so that he cannot move. The objective of the wolf is to break through them and traverse to the other side of the board.

Play

Turns alternate. Goats move diagonally forwards one square at a time while the wolf may move diagonally forward or backwards one step at a time. The wolf may also jump and capture neighboring goats as in checkers.
