Objective
Nineteen is played as misère game where the winner forces their opponent to remove the last counter.
Play
The game commences with every cell of the board occupied by a counter. Alternate turns entail the removal of counters from the board. On their turn a player may perform any one of the following:
remove a single counter
remove two adjacent counters
remove three counters which all constitute part of a triangle
